Short delay.

Tonight is my basketball and volleyball night, so there will be a small delay while I get home and shower and what not from all that. I apologize. Sincerely.

I did have some postings queued up for tonight, yet I look at my blog, and see that they did not. Sigh! I'll try to see what happened to them tomorrow at some point, or later tonight. Until then, please accept the silly photo to the right, which is from this web site.

TV Review: Pair of ATHF episodes delight

The Insane Clown Posse and George Lowe combine to make ATHF awesome.

Catching up on an episode I didn't write about last week, I continue to enjoy Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Last week's episode revolved around Meatwad and (mostly) Shake throwing crap off a highway overpass. The hilarity ensues, Aqua Teen style, when Shake throws a chunk of pavement off the overpass, killing a dude driving his car. You know, the typical family-friendly fare of Aqua Teen.

From there, the episode picks up speed as the ghost of the dude haunts Shake for the rest of the episode, forcing him to do good deeds for Carl and others. Shake finally has enough though, and trying to find a demon to help him, he instead comes across an Insane Clown Posse disciple. Of course, this kid is about 15-years-old, and only succeeds in having Shake give him rides before Shake commits suicide with a shotgun, in an attempt to avoid getting banished to Hell.

The best segment of the episode though are the two minutes at the end. Frylock and Meatwad sue the Insane Clown Posse for causing Shake's death. (It isn't really made clear why, since they don't really like him, but maybe they want the cash from it.) And fabulously, George Lowe makes another appearance on the show this season, serving as the bumbling lawyer for Frylock and Meatwad. Even ICP are decent in their brief cameo.

This week's episode is similarly strong, but it has been floating around on the Internet for a while, so I won't go as in-depth on it. Just realize that it is a take on Fantasia, with Meatwad in the role of the multiplying brooms. Good times, good times!

Grade on the two episodes: A-

Sorry for these kind of short entries. Yeah, I'm not doing so much flood coverage at work, but unfortunately, I've been getting chills and headaches during the mornings and nights. As I type this on Sunday night, I have a 99.8 degree fever, despite some Tylenol and Motrin throughout the day. So, until I'm back to complete health, the entries will probably remain short. Sorry folks!

Ack, flooding!

Once again, I was busy at work with some flooding stories. As a result, I didn't have time to type a proper entry about yesterday's (awesome!) LOST episode. Please accept my forgiveness, and realize that it will be posted at a later time tonight, whenever I'm done covering a town council meeting. Lates!

Delay tonight.

So, later tonight I'll have a nice, long entry about the journey I took to New York City with my buddy Chris, complete with some photos he took along the way. However, right now I'm dealing with some stories about the flooding for work, so I don't have time right this second to type it up. Therefore, this entry will be delayed.

I also have some At The Commercials and TV review posts queued up on my laptop, but I haven't had a chance to post them yet. Sorry folks! I still love you all very much.

Steve's Kinda Cool Music List

I have a pretty busy day today - At 1:30 (i.e. five hours before you read this), I'm having lunch with my uncle from Maine, then we're watching the Rams play at 4. I'm also the beat reporter for my newspaper for the game, so following the game I'm attending the press conference and typing my story, followed by (possibly) going out with a couple of the local reporters.

So, in light of all that, I apologize in advance for this sort of "cop out" entry. I will try to double up tomorrow with the television coverage, if I can. I had posts queued for last night and today, but Blogger isn't showing up with them right now, so I have no idea where they want or why they haven't posted. Sick, sick, sick.

Unfortunately folks, I'm nursing a pretty delirious sickness of some sort right now. As a result, and because I still have to cover a 7 p.m. meeting tonight, I'll be postponing part two of my entry on late night until tomorrow. If I get some time, I'll double-up on entries tomorrow, but I can't make any guarantees.

Happy freakin' New Year!

I didn't do a normal entry today, because if Christmas was any indication, nobody would be around to read it anyway. So instead, just take this placeholder entry as an indication that, no, I haven't forgotten about you. Hopefully, you had a great end to 2009, and here is hoping that your 2010 is just as great!

I'll have the typical "what I did last year" post up later today, Friday. And, in case you forgot or didn't realize - Almost all of my posts are scheduled, so I'm not actually posting this at midnight. Sorry to disappoint! I'm either out, or working, or nursing a sore tummy in my bed. ugh.

On growing a beard and more later

So, this isn't tonight's actual entry. But, I did want to put a placeholder in to say that it would be on karma and statistics, as ambiguous as that sounds.

The title of this entry refers to my beard right now, which is getting to ridiculous thickness, at least for my taste. We're talking about "Jack Shepard in Lost levels", which is cooler than it sounds, since I otherwise do not look like Jack Shepard. (Still, I must admit a certain pang of admiration for supporting similar muttonchops. However, I do zealously shave my mustache still; that is the only part that comes in blonde, as opposed to reddish, and I think it looks stupid.)

I'm not sure why I haven't shaved - I'm guessing laziness, since, although I don't like feeling it on my face, it does take a good 10 to 20 minutes to do a good shave with my electric, and I just keep on putting it off. Also, I feel like this particular beard has grown in fast. The last timed I shaved was two, maybe three weeks ago, and I already have it all grown in. I look a bit like a young Santa Claus, except not nearly girth-y enough. (Maybe next year, ladies.)

Delay tonight

I'm going to Casey's for a customer appreciation night, so I'll be back a little bit late - it ends at 7, so I'm guessing tonight's actual entry will be up between 8 and 10. The management is sorry for the delay.

Delay while going a meeting

So, because I'm going to attend a PTO meeting to try to get some funding for the high school newspaper I lay out, tonight's entry will be up later. Sorry! I'm guessing it'll be up around 9ish.

One hour delay

The court beat I do for my actual job took me a bit longer than usual today, so tonight's "real" entry will drop at 8 p.m. EST, as opposed to the usual 7 p.m. slot. Sorry about that, folks. The topic will be the Red Sox' signing of shortstop Marco Scutaro.

Postponed... for a bit.

I'm taking a little extra time with tonight's post, which will be on Saturday Night Live. It should be up before 9 though, and probably before 8, but we'll see. Just putting this in as a placeholder, to signify that I am not deceased.
