A random collection of commentary on the 1990s, sports, pop culture, video games, journalism, writing and ego. You know, like every other blog in existence. Except written by me. Oh, and also, my cat wrote a few entries too.

Linking on Lost and Calvinism
A couple of quick hits for the early post today...
- If you didn't get enough of my liveblog on LOST last night, Cousin Brandon has an exhaustive look at the premiere on his blog. Check out part one here and part two here. I chip in a couple of comment on part two, because I'm ill like that.
Reading Brandon's analysis reminds me of how incredible deep the whole storyline is though, and how you can find great, interlocking content across all aspects of LOST. And, that's all I'll say for now, in the interest of 1) not rambling on about the show for yet another post and 2) preventing myself from ruining the episode for others.
- In completely random news, Bill Watterson randomly gave his first interview in more than 20 years! It was for Cleveland.com, and you can read it here. As a warning though, it is kind of disappointing. The writer comes off more like an excited fanboi than a journalist, and he's more obsessed with the legacy of the strip then the most obvious question - What the eff is he doing now?
Calvin and Hobbes is still my favorite cartoon strip of all-time, because it lasted pretty much the perfect amount of time, and the quality never really suffered. Pearls Before Swine and Get Fuzzy are trying to get in my pantheon with Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts and The Far Side.
Brandon's picture is from his blog, and the Calvin and Hobbes picture is from the Wiki page on the strip.
